Abuja, Nigeria — 15 September 2026
Flow With Pride Impact Hub has received official approval and institutional support from the FCT Education Secretariat for the introduction of its Menstrual Health Society (MHS) programme in secondary schools across the Federal Capital Territory.
The approval was formally communicated during a meeting at the FCT Education Secretariat in Abuja with representatives of Flow With Pride Impact Hub and officials of the Secretariat, through the Office of the Director, Special Duties.
The Menstrual Health Society is an innovative school-based initiative designed to create safe and informed spaces where young people can learn about menstruation, menstrual hygiene, health, dignity and the issues affecting girls and young women.
With the approval, Flow With Pride Impact Hub will begin the process of establishing and enrolling Menstrual Health Society clubs in secondary schools across the FCT, with implementation scheduled to commence from October 2026.
The initiative is designed not merely as an awareness programme, but as a sustainable school-based platform through which students can access age-appropriate menstrual health education, participate in peer-led conversations and activities, develop leadership and advocacy skills, and contribute to breaking the stigma and misinformation surrounding menstruation.
The official approval marks an important step in Flow With Pride Impact Hub's broader commitment to ensuring that menstrual health becomes part of the everyday conversation around the health, education, dignity and wellbeing of girls.
The organisation's leadership was represented at the meeting by its Co-Founders, Michael Chineme Ike and Nwankwo Chioma Emilia, alongside the Director of Operations and Administration, Onuegbu Ifeoma Christy.
The organisation looks forward to working closely with schools, educators, parents, students and relevant stakeholders across the FCT as implementation begins.
This is only the beginning.
Menstrual Health Society, educating, empowering and creating a generation that flows with pride.
